Kyle lives in Meridian, ID with his wife and daughter. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cedarville University in Ohio. Beyond his technical HVAC design experience, he has worked in the housing and commercial/industrial construction industry for over 10 years, with plenty of hands-on experience installing ductwork, AC condenser units, and furnaces. He's focused on meeting each customer's needs across a wide variety of unique situations.

What We Need for a Complete Report

Project location
The full address, or at minimum the county the project is in.

A basic scaled plan
A scaled print showing the windows and measurements. Hand drawings are acceptable, but may be subject to a small additional fee if they aren't thorough.

Front-door orientation
Which direction the front door faces (south, northeast, etc.).

Insulation R-values
R-values for floors, walls, and ceilings — only if they differ from standard.

Window values
Window U-values, or the approximate age of the windows and the number of panes — only if they aren't standard.

Equipment models
Models of the installed or preferred units (condenser, coil, and furnace/air handler). We can size to the outcome of the Manual J with a basic model number.

What's included in a report?
Every project includes the full ACCA Manual J (load calculation), Manual S (equipment selection), and Manual D (duct design) report. Take a look at our example report to see exactly what you'll receive.
How fast will I get my report?
Your completed report is delivered within 3 business days of a complete submission.
What do you need from me to get started?
To produce a complete report we need your floor plans (scaled prints with the front-door orientation and address, or non-scaled plans with the layout and total square footage), insulation values for walls/floors/ceilings, window U-values and SHGC, equipment locations, and your preferred equipment model numbers. Not sure about something? Just send what you have and we'll let you know exactly what's missing.
Will my report be accepted by the building department?
Yes. Every report is prepared to ACCA standards — Manual J for load calculations, Manual S for equipment selection, and Manual D for duct design — which is what building departments across Idaho, Oregon, and Washington require for permitting.
How much does it cost, and how do I pay?
For new customers, pricing starts at $0.13/sq ft with a $260 minimum — no additional fees for extra units and no higher costs on large projects. Most clients save up to 40% by switching to us. There's no upfront payment — we invoice you at the end of each month for all reports designed that month. Ask us about our volume discount.
Can I order just a Manual J, or Manual J & S?
Yes. Alongside the full Manual J, S & D report ($0.13/sq ft, $260 minimum), we offer Manual J only at $0.08/sq ft ($160 minimum) and Manual J & S at $0.10/sq ft ($200 minimum). All tiers are based on a 2,000 sq ft minimum.
Do you handle commercial projects?
Yes. In addition to residential work, we take on small commercial projects.
What's your revision policy?
We make all small changes for free and return them within 2 business days. Larger revisions are priced individually based on the scope of the changes.
